1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Fair Gold Price (“we”, “us”), which runs this website. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What the site provides

We provide gold and silver prices, calculators that estimate the metal value of items, a map and directory of businesses that buy precious metals, and general guides. The site is for information only.

3. Estimates, not offers or advice

• Values shown are estimates of melt value, based on the weight and purity you enter and a market price. They are not offers to buy, appraisals or guarantees of what anyone will pay.
• Prices come from third-party data and may be delayed, interrupted or wrong. Charts are based on daily closing prices and are approximate.
• Nothing on the site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Speak to a qualified professional for your situation.
• Collectible coins, antiques and designer pieces may be worth more than their metal value.

4. Business listings

Listings come from public map data and official state registers. We do not verify, endorse or guarantee any business, and we are not part of any sale between you and a business. Check a business's licence, hours and terms yourself before you visit. Any deal you make is between you and that business.

5. Your account

An account is optional and free. You can use the calculator, prices, shop directory and licence checks without one.

You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity on your account.

6. Content you send us

When you submit a seller report, review or correction, you confirm it is true to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it. You give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, edit for length and clarity, and publish it on the site. We may decline or remove any submission, for example if it is false, abusive, or names private individuals.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• submit false reports or reviews, including about your own or a competitor's business;
• copy or scrape the site's data in bulk, or resell it;
• disrupt the site, try to access areas you are not allowed to, or send spam;
• use the site for anything unlawful.

8. Our content

The site's design, text and tools belong to us or our licensors. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is used under its open license. You may share links to our pages and quote short passages with a link back.

9. Links to other sites

We link to other websites, such as state agencies and business websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

10. No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about its accuracy, completeness or availability.

11. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a sale or decision you make based on the site. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you have paid nothing. Some laws do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and show a notice on the site for important changes. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which we are established, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

14. General

If a court finds part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still apply. If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not given it up. These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about using the site.
